Cancellations & Refunds Policy
Our standard 21 day cancellation policy applies to all Cookery, Wine Courses bookings and Accommodation.
Standard 21 day cancellation policy
Up to 21 days before the start of your course
This means that you may request a change of course dates up to 21 days before the start of the course and we will happily transfer you to another date, or course subject to availability.
You may also request a refund up to 21 days of the start of the course you have booked. Please note there is an administration and handling charge of £15 for processing customer refunds.
Within 21 days before the start of your course
Most bookings for courses at the Braxted Park Cookery School are made many months in advance. It is therefore hard for us to resell any places within 21 days of the start of the course date, and any cancellations within this time can result in lost revenue that affect the ability of the Cookery School to deliver quality courses.
If you cancel your booking within 21 days of the start of your cookery or wine course, you will forfeit any course fees and accommodation associated with your booking.
Voucher bookings
If for any reason you need to cancel your booking we are quite happy to find you a place on the nearest available course - however you must rebook no later than 21 days before the course starts. This option to rebook applies only once, a second cancellation at any time will result in forfeiture of the total voucher cost. Cancellations within 21 days of the course date will result in forfeiture of the total voucher cost.
Cancellations by Braxted Park Cookery School
In the unlikely event of cancellation by ourselves, we undertake to provide a suitable alternative within a reasonable period of time. If this is not possible, we undertake to make an immediate full refund for course or accommodation fees. Where a voucher was used to book a course which was cancelled by The Cookery School, we will issue a replacement voucher with 12 months expiry.
Severe Winter Weather
In the event of forecast or actual bad weather, please contact us 24 hours in advance of the course date to ensure that the course will proceed. We reserve the right to cancel a course due to bad weather if conditions are deemed dangerous to travel. In the event of such cancellation, by ourselves, our standard cancellation terms will apply.
