We welcome you to arrive at The Cookery School at Braxted Park from 9.00am onwards. The day will begin with an informal tea or coffee in our beautiful garden cottage, where you will meet your fellow students and chosen chef. During this introductory session you will also receive your course information and menus, an apron and a health and safety briefing. We will also ask all students about any allergies they may suffer from or other essential information that is needed to ensure your day is as enjoyable as possible.
At 9.30am you will make your way to the kitchen and commence your chosen course with your expert chef, who will guide you through the day’s activities. Class sizes vary between six and 10 students and you will be assigned your own workspace in our fully equipped kitchen.
Our step-by-step tuition is easy to follow, fun and ‘hands-on’. The Cookery School at Braxted Park team will also be available throughout the day should you require any assistance. The combination of expert tuition with a ‘hands-on’ approach ensures you will learn everything you need to create perfect dishes.
At approximately 3.00pm, and after a full day of cooking, you will be rewarded with a glass of wine and a sit-down meal that has been cooked during the day. This is the perfect chance to share hints and tips with the group while enjoying the food you have prepared.
Two day residential courses include a one night stay in our luxurious accommodation. The beautiful garden cottage and additional double en-suite stable rooms in the tranquil grounds of the Estate have been converted to the highest possible standard and are available for your stay. The rooms are in a quiet and peaceful setting in the heart of the Estate, allowing you to enjoy an undisturbed night’s rest, leaving you revitalised for the following day’s classes.
You will be shown to your accommodation in the morning on the first day of your chosen course. Similar to all one-day courses, you will then join your fellow students for an informal tea or coffee in our beautiful garden cottage.
At the end of the first day you will have plenty of time to relax in your accommodation. You can also choose from a number of evening activities, all of which will be discussed with you when you book your course.
Day two will begin with breakfast served at your leisure. The format for day two is the same as for day one but with a completely different set of menus for you to enjoy mastering.
