Peter Bayless

Independent Chef, food writer, teacher and demonstrator - Winner BBC MasterChef 2006

Peter discovered his love of food and a talent for cooking at his first Boy Scout camp. This initial excitement of being able to wow others with his cooking has stayed with Peter throughout his life and is what eventually steered him away from a 40 year career in advertising.

At the age of 59, Peter finally decided to pursue his passion in a professional capacity and entered Master Chef 2006 to kick-start his dream career. As a result of winning the show, Peter currently works as an independent chef in both France and the UK, has published a book of his experiences and regularly contributes to food magazines.
