We are delighted to welcome Oi Cheepchaiissara (pronounced 'cheep-chai-iss-ara') to The Cookery School at Braxted Park.
Born in Hat Yai, near Songkhla in Southern Thailand, Oi studied in Bangkok and took her degree at the Poh-Chang Institute of Fine Arts.
Oi is the author of a number of books on authentic Thai food and Cookery. Available in many foreign editions, she has become one of the world's most popular authors on Thai cookery books in English.
Oi returns periodically to Thailand to gather fresh inspiration for her work and makes regular television appearances, as her books are also available there.
Thai chefs rarely measure ingredients, prefering to trust personal taste and experience. Oi's books and classes feature recipes with accurate measurements, bringing Thai cooking to a wider audience.
