Padmaja has an infectious enthusiasm for authentic Indian cuisine. In 2008, she was a winner on the BBC 2 programme, Step Up to the Plate, which challenges the talents of upcoming chefs against Paul Rankin and John Burton Race.

Having spent her childhood eating authentic Indian food, Padmaja has a passion for simple, flavoursome dishes. Her experimental style incorporates trying new techniques and methods to provide her own twist on traditional Indian recipes.

Padmaja has taught at a number of cookery schools in Essex and Suffolk and also runs her own catering business. In addition, Padmaja has her own food blog and showcases her unique Indian cooking at food fairs and festivals across East Anglia.

Padmaja’s experience makes her the ideal choice to teach the methods of creating authentic Indian cuisine. Her courses are suitable for all abilities.
