Britain’s Best Bakery - ITV feature The Cookery School at Braxted Park

Yesterday we sat down (with tea and cake of course) to watch the first episode of ITV’s Britain’s Best Bakery programme featuring The Cookery School at Braxted Park.

The second series of the show sees judges Mich Turner and Peter Sidwell searching for the country’s best independent or community bakery.

Filmed amongst the rose beds of the walled garden in the grounds of the Braxted Park Estate, the bakers were judged on finish and flavour.

Bakers from across East Anglia were challenged to prepare 13 perfect lemon meringue pies against the clock. The Cake Shop Bakery from Woodbridge, Suffolk, proved triumphant and progressed to the next round of the competition, the regional final.

The regional final airs on Friday 7th February at 4pm on ITV1 and if you missed yesterday’s episode you can catch up here: https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/britain-s-best-bakery/series-2/episode-21
